Michigan State Athletic Turf Manager Andy Flynn and his hard-working Athletic Turf team are responsible for maintaining the condition of Spartan Stadium and other athletic fields on campus. They do it all, whether it is checking turf health, dealing with weather, or repairing divots.
The athletic turf team works tirelessly to balance Athletics’ performance needs with the demands of the schedule and weather.
WKAR Sports spoke with Andy Flynn about dealing with the daily challenges of the position.
