MSU marching band director celebrates 25 years with roses

Before this month’s Rose Bowl victory, Michigan State University last appeared in Pasadena in 1988, one year before John Madden’s arrival at MSU.Now, Madden,  Associate Professor of Music, Associate Director of Bands and Director of the Spartan Marching Band, enters his 25th year at State.

Madden calls the Tournament of Roses Parade "the greatest parade of all time".
