The Impression 5 Science Center and other Museum Drive attractions hope the Arts Impact Project will create a new gateway to attract visitors.

The city of Lansing has announced its Sense of Place in the Arts grant recipients for the year, and this year they’ve also awarded a grant for a new Arts Impact Project. We speak with Debbie Mikula of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing and Eric Larson of Impression 5 Science Center to find out all about the project and the recipients.

Every year the city of Lansing awards funds to support creative placemaking projects through the Sense of Place in the Arts Program. The program is administered by LEAP and the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.

The 2015-2016 recipients have been announced, and Current State talks about the winners with the president of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Debbie Mikula, and Eric Larson, executive director of Impression 5 Science Center.
