MSU concert celebrates Mozart’s 260th birthday

Happy Birthday Mozart! The MSU College of Music celebrates Mozart's 260th tonight at Fairchild Theatre.

The MSU College of Music celebrates Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 260th birthday tonight at 7:30 p.m. It’s the annual Happy Birthday Mozart concert at Fairchild Theatre. The concert will also be broadcast live in 90.5-FM WKAR.

Current State’s Peter Whorf caught up with Assistant Dean and choral program director David Rayl and MSU pianist Derek Polischuk to preview the festivities. Polischuk will play a Mozart sonata. Rayl will lead musicians in a performance of Mozart’s Mass in C, called the “Organ Solo.”
