Have you ever listened to an audiobook? Have you wondered who reads them and what it takes to become successful in that field? Current State talks with Emily Sutton-Smith and Angela Dawe, two audiobook readers from mid-Michigan.
More and more these days, people who don’t have the time to read but do have the time to listen have turned to audiobooks. They’re great for long walks or long drives. With an audiobook on CDs or digitally on your phone or other device, audiobooks can be a great way to pass the time.
Current State talks with two local women who also narrate audiobooks. Along with being a co-founder of the Williamston Theatre, Emily Sutton-Smith has a growing list of audiobook credits. And after being away from Lansing for few years, Angela Dawe moved back to Michigan a couple of years ago. She’s been recording audiobooks since 2009.
