Ice can be seen here on the FM antenna, which is the series of ten pods near the top of the WKAR tower.

UPDATE: 90.5 returned to full power at 5:32p on Thursday. 4/19

Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 9:26 AM: Some 90.5 FM listeners will have poor reception or no reception due to ice build up on the 90.5 FM main antenna.

90.5 FM is currently operating from an auxiliary antenna, located on our tower at a height of 460 feet, until the ice clears from the main antenna at 900 feet.

Online listening here at wkar.org and in the WKAR app is not affected.

Watch this page for updates.
