WKAR TV is currently broadcasting at low power. Viewers in outlying areas may have no reception via antenna. Website streaming and some cable systems will not be affected.

UPDATE: 7am 4/26/24. WKAR TV is currently operating at reduced power. Channel 23.1-5 went off-the-air unexpectedly at about 6:15pm Thursday. Engineers were able to restore broadcast service at reduced power at approx. 2:30am. Work continues to bring the station to full power.

WKAR audio streams were displaying inaccurate air times in the "Playing Now" section and in the online schedule this morning due to the daylight saving time change. The issue is now resolved.

WKAR and PBS are aware of the pixelization/breakup on WKAR Create (Ch. 23.3), and are working hard to resolve the issue.

Viewers of WKAR Create (Ch. 23.3) may see incorrect program info, occasional video breakup, and unreadable or no closed captions.

Fri May 26, 2023 WKAR TV and radio broadcasts may be off the air for brief periods during scheduled maintenance.

On Tuesday, September 27, WKAR TV made an upgrade to the system that provides current program information for each of our broadcast channels.

Beginning Monday evening (Sep. 19, 2022), WKAR television experienced an equipment failure that affected all five TV channels. Viewers experienced signal blackouts and erratic channel and program data.

UPDATE: Tue Sep 6, 4:30pm | Maintenance work at our broadcast tower has been completed. All over-the-air services were restored as of approx. 3:20pm.
