TECHNOTE: TV 23.5 Michigan Learning Channel back on the air

UPDATE 4/8/21 8:20am: The Michigan Learning Channel on WKAR-TV 23.5 is back on the air following upgrades to the closed-caption equipment for the channel.

3/25/21: WKAR broadcast of the Michigan Learning Channel on WKAR-TV 23.5 is currently off the air while upgrades are being made to the closed-caption equipment for the channel.

The channel went off the air as of 6:00am March 25, 2021. Encoding components were failing to deliver closed captioning reliably as required by the FCC. The equipment manufacturer is working to expedite an upgrade and we will restore the broadcast as soon as possible.
