The Eastwood Towne Center has become a popular shopping destination, but the Heights at Eastwood project to the north has struggled.

We talk with Lansing State Journal reporter Steve Reed about his probe of development at The Heights at Eastwood.

Lansing Township's efforts to develop The Heights at Eastwood project have struggled. There currently are two hotels, luxury apartments and a parking ramp on the site, but retail space there is still empty.

Steve Reed of the Lansing State Journal has spent the last 18 months looking into the Township's much-delayed development of the property north of the Eastwood Towne Center and the financial strain it has put on this small part of our community.

Current State talks with Reed about his investigation.
