Neighbors in Action: Tuesday Toolmen | WKAR

http://www.glhc.org/

It’s Wednesday and time for our Neighbors in Action segment, when Current State features people and organizations working to make Greater Lansing a better place. Today, we learn about the Tuesday Toolmen, a group of volunteer handymen who offer repairs and safety modifications for low-income seniors in the Lansing area.Current State speaks with Brady Calkins, who coordinates the Tuesday Toolmen program for the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition, along with Julie Powers, Executive Director of the Greater Lansing Housing Coalition and Stu McKalvey, a longtime volunteer with the program.

Current State is looking for more nominations for our “Neighbors In Action” feature.  Please help us out and e-mail us your suggestions to currentstate@wkar.org.  Put ‘Neighbors in Action’ in the subject line.  Or tweet us: @KARCurrentState and tell us a little about why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
