Our Neighbors in Action segment today focuses on several neighborhoods on the west side of Lansing, where a new public art and trail project is taking shape.

It’s Wednesday on Current State, which means it’s time for our weekly Neighbors in Action segment. Several communities on the west side of Lansing are joining forces to create the Point West Art and Trail Project.

Current State talks with Caryn Coyle, a board member for the Westside Neighborhood Association and President of the Old Oakland Neighborhood Association, and Joe Duris, president of the Old Oakland Neighborhood Association and Saginaw-Oakland Commercial Association.

Current State is always looking for more nominations for our “Neighbors In Action” feature. Please help us out and e-mail us your suggestions to currentstate@wkar.org. Put ‘Neighbors in Action’ in the subject line. Or tweet us: @KARCurrentState and tell us a little about why you think they should be featured.
