For this week’s Neighbors in Action segment, we learn about Habitat for Humanity with Vicki Hamilton-Allen, executive director of Habitat in the Capital region, and Tresa Bonds, whose family of seven is preparing to move into their Habitat for Humanity home.
Habitat for Humanity International has been building homes for people who need them since 1976. Founded on the principal of “partnership housing,” where those in need of adequate shelter work side by side with volunteers to build houses, the organization has helped 6.8 million people find affordable shelter worldwide.
