Jeffery Ford

We have another Pop-Up story from our most recent storytelling event. The theme of the evening was “lucky break.” Today’s selection is from Jeffery Ford, who showed the world he was something far greater than most people thought.

The theme of our most recent Pop-Up Stories event at the Broad Art Museum last month was “Lucky Break.” Today’s story comes from Jeffery Ford. He grew up the subject of taunts and ridicule, but a lucky break helped him turn his self-image around and propel him towards a life as an advocate for people just like him.

We’ve got another Pop-Up Stories coming up soon. Join us at (SCENE) Metrospace on Thursday, April 21 for stories on the theme of “Fools Rush In.” If you want to tell your own story, email us at currentstate@wkar.org. You can also stay up to date on all our upcoming events by liking our Facebook page, Pop Up Stories Lansing.
