The organization ePIFanyNow encourages and spread acts of kindness in the Lansing area. Their upcoming annual Y-PIF awards are for young people doing good in the community.

WKAR’s Brooke Allen speaks with the organization’s founder, Bob Hoffman, and Skylar Medes who was one of last year’s Y-PIF recipients.

For more information about the contest or to nominate a kid who's doing good in the community, visit ePIFanyNow.org. To stay informed about Skylar's project, follow Suitcases for Kids on Facebook.

Every WKAR News story you read is rooted in fact-based, local journalism, produced without commercial influence and available for free to everyone in mid-Michigan. No paywalls. Ever.

But this work doesn’t fund itself. With significant cuts to federal funding, public media is facing a critical moment. If you believe in journalism that serves the public interest, now is the time to act. Donate today.
