Two Killed In Accident On I-96 Near Williamston

Michigan State Police say two teenage girls died in a crash on I-96 in Livingston County on Tuesday night.

WLNS-TV reported the victims are two 17-year-old girls.

One crash victim was a student at Brighton Area Schools.

The other attended Howell Public Schools.

Troopers said the girls' vehicle was going westbound when it left the highway and struck a tree.

Westbound I-96 closed for four hours Tuesday night while officers investigated the crash scene.
