Blasts from the Past, Tyler Beck, Alex Scharg, Detroit Tigers, Athletes Turned Rappers, Le'Veon Bell, Table Tennis, Eastern Michigan University, Keith Appling, and Reflection Friday.

It's a Flashback Friday on today's "Current Sports with Al Martin." Two previous Current Sports contributors--Tyler Beck, former production assistant, and Alex Scharg, former engineer and cohost-- rejoin the team for today. Tyler gives updates from his side of the world as he works for the ACC and Alex bridges the gap to the Detroit Tigers. Meanwhile, Al and engineer Isaac Constans mix it up on the best athletes turned rappers, as Le'Veon Bell could be set for a Snoop Dogg collaboration. Also, Connor Hayes reports for WKAR on the table tennis program and sport here in America. Finally, the Eastern Michigan University question of athletics funding is on the table, begging the question of how much is too much spending on athletics.  And as the hour slowly comes to a close, "Reflection Friday" puts a bow on the show and week.

WKAR’s first live pledge drive since federal funding was eliminated is happening now. Our goal for the drive is $60,000 and reaching it will bring us one step closer to closing the federal funding gap.
