Syracuse Snub; NCAA March Madness; Bracket Picks; MSU Women's Basketball; Claressa Shields; Eric Woodyard; Grant Essenmacher; Caleb Hoekstra.

On today's "Current Sports with Al Martin" with the joyous celebrations on every selection show night, it's easy to forget the tears shed from those who didn't get in. Syracuse coach Jim Boehim sure didn't forget about the melancholy side of things, as the Orange were left out of the bracket. Al takes no issue with the committee's picks, however, and Current Sports engineer Isaac Constans says there would have been an easy remedy for the team before the year even started. For those teams that did get it, their paths to the Final Four are analyzed. Then, Al reviews the seeding selections for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, which will notably leave out the Michigan Wolverines. Should they have gotten in? Eric Woodyard, sports reporter for the Flint Journal, is on Current Sports for the first time, as well, and he brings his story about Flint boxer Claressa Shield to life. As a Flint native, Woodyard talks about what Claressa and other Flint athletes have brought to the city. Finally, Current Sports production assistant Grant Essenmacher is all over the high school basketball scene, and reflects on the year for injured East Lansing senior shooting guard Caleb Hoekstra.
