Lou Anna K. Simon
Michigan State University

Michigan State University; Lou Anna K. Simon; Larry Nassar; Marie Anderson; Sue Carter; Michigan State Gymnastics

President Lou Anna K. Simon has resigned from Michigan State University. On today's edition of Current Sports with Al Martin, Al discusses Simon's resignation in wake of the Larry Nassar sex scandal, putting in perspective that this is first domino to fall in a long line of many. One of those dominos is Sue Carter, who has resigned from her position as MSU faculty athletic representative. News director Reginald Hardwick talked with Carter about the move and we play the full interview here.

Then, Marie Anderson, a survivor of Nassar's abuse, joins the show. The abuse began when Anderson was a 15 year old sophomore swimmer at Mason High School seeking treatment. Anderson talks about when it hit her that Nassar's "procedures" were abuse and elaborates on her statements in Ingham County Court in front of Nassar, as well as the sequence of events that persuaded her to testify publicly.

That, and more, throughout this hour of Current Sports with Al Martin.
