Indiana Faces Tough Test Vs. No. 6 Michigan State

No. 6 Michigan State (23-5, 14-3) vs. Indiana (14-14, 5-12) - Assembly Hall, Bloomington, Indiana; Saturday, 12 p.m. EST

BOTTOM LINE: No. 6 Michigan State presents a tough challenge for Indiana. Indiana has won three of its nine games against ranked opponents this season. Michigan State has won its last five games against conference opponents.

SQUAD LEADERS: Indiana's Juwan Morgan has averaged 14.9 points and 8.3 rebounds while Romeo Langford has put up 17.1 points and 5.4 rebounds. For the Spartans, Cassius Winston has averaged 19.2 points and 7.4 assists while Nick Ward has put up 14.6 points and 6.4 rebounds.

KEY CONTRIBUTOR: Winston has had his hand in 63 percent of all Michigan State field goals over the last three games. Winston has 18 field goals and 24 assists in those games.

ACCOUNTING FOR ASSISTS: The Spartans have recently used assists to create baskets more often than the Hoosiers. Indiana has an assist on 28 of 67 field goals (41.8 percent) over its past three outings while Michigan State has assists on 46 of 67 field goals (68.7 percent) during its past three games.

STIFLING STATE: Michigan State has held opposing teams to 37.3 percent shooting from the field this year, the third-lowest percentage among all Division I teams.
