This afternoon, Michigan State University interim president John Engler told a US Senate Commerce subcommittee that the school has made many changes to protect athletes from abuse.

Engler and leadership from the US Olympic Committee and USA Gymnastics testified about what’s changed since former physician Larry Nassar sexually assaulted hundreds of girls and women instead of treating them.

US Sen. Gary Peters (D-Michigan) read a letter signed by 120 abuse survivors expressing displeasure with interim President Engler and then asked Engler why he should keep his job.
