UD-Mercy clock tower memorializes WWI heroes

The University of Detroit Mercy campus is Scott Pohl’s next stop of historic Detroit sites with Jack Dempsey of the Michigan Historical Society. They visit a memorial to those who died serving their country during World War I.

Every summer, Michigan Historical Commission president Jack Dempsey takes Current State’s Scott Pohl to several historic sites. Today, that’s on the University of Detroit Mercy campus.

On the school's campus, there's a beautiful clock tower honoring those from Michigan who died while serving their country during World War I.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
