The Lansing Symphony Orchestra’s next MasterWorks concert is Saturday night at Wharton Center. It features music from American composers Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland. Also on the program is a trombone concerto played by MSU’s Ava Ordman. LSO conductor Timothy Muffitt told Current State’s Melissa Benmark a little about the piece by 20th century American composer Donald Erb. Muffitt says Erb worked in both the acoustic world and also in electronic music.
