As the chaos continues in Congress, will Michigan’s Candice Miller be called to calm the current leadership crisis? We speak with the Michigan Public Radio Network’s Rick Pluta.

Last week in Washington DC, Representative Kevin McCarthy abruptly withdrew from consideration to replace John Boehner as Speaker of the House. It was the latest shock in what has been a series of surprising developments in House leadership.

Now, with no clear replacement for Boehner, speculation is rampant.

One name that has come up is that of Michigan Republican Representative Candice Miller of Shelby Township.

Current State talks about that and some other political happenings with Rick Pluta, Managing Editor and Capital Correspondent for the Michigan Public Radio Network.
