Rep. Sam Singh (D-East Lansing)

The Michigan legislature is having an active lame duck session including a Voter ID measure, a speed limit increase and reimbursement of people wrongly imprisoned. We hear the views of East Lansing State Rep. Sam Singh.

Only three full days remain on Michigan’s 2016 legislative calendar and the lame duck legislature has been busy. This week, measures have advanced that would establish a state voter ID law, a plastic bag law and enable some Michigan employers to receive tax revenue directly from their employees. Energy legislation, though, has become bogged down and other proposals have been abandoned.

Current State talks with 69th House district Representative Democrat Sam Singh of East Lansing.
