MSU Archivist Megan Malone stands at an entrance to Williams Hall. The inscription above the door: 'Every day in thy life is a leaf in thy history'.

There are six student dormitories on West Circle Drive on the MSU campus, and all six are named for notable women in the school’s history.

WKAR’s Scott Pohl met up with MSU archivist Megan Malone for a Women’s History Month walk around West Circle Drive to learn about these six women. They started at Williams Hall.

These historic women are Sarah Langdon Williams, Maude Gilchrist, Elida Yakeley, Linda Landon, Louise Hathaway Campbell, and Mary Mayo.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
WKAR’s first live pledge drive since federal funding was eliminated is happening now. Our goal for the drive is $60,000 and reaching it will bring us one step closer to closing the federal funding gap.
