Rally for stricter gun laws at capitol this weekend

Wikimedia Commons

This week the U.S. Senate voted to move forward on gun control legislation. The move is historic. It’s been 20 years since any major changes have been made to our nation's gun laws.

Ever since the Sandy Hook shootings in December, gun control has moved to the forefront of conversation in the United States. This weekend in Lansing there will be a rally held at the capitol organized by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America

Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action, Linda Brundage, the Lansing/Mid-Michigan leader, and Kelly Grandchamp,  a survivor of gun violence,  discuss the organization, the rally and the effects of gun violence.
