'I am Lansing' campaign promotes exercise, nutrition

Courtesy/City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department

All this week, Current State has been broadcasting here at Adado-Riverfront Park, site of the Common Ground festival.  This public green space alongside the Grand River is one of dozens of properties managed by the city of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department.

The department is launching an effort to promote the city’s parks and community centers as healthy and enriching opportunities in the capital city.  The “I Am Lansing” campaign features a new mascot -- CUFF Lynx -- whose job is to draw attention to those opportunities.

Kalea Delezenne of the department's leisure services division joins Current State to talk about the campaign and explain the mascot.
