QuizBusters celebrates 25th anniversary

WKAR

WKAR TV’S "QuizBusters" celebrates 25 years on the air this year. Since its premiere, the program has been hosted by Matt Ottinger.

"Quizbusters" pits Mid-Michigan high school students against each other on two opposing teams in the classic "College Bowl" format. Contestants answer questions drawn from the worlds of mathematics, science, literature, history, the arts, and more. Tonight, WKAR opens the season with two games with local celebrities vying for bragging rites.

Ottinger tells Current State that his early game show influences include the early version of "Jeopardy!" and "Concentration".
