MSU cello professor Suren Bagratuni and assistant professor of piano Minsoo Sohn perform tonight at the newly renovated Fairchild Theatre. WKAR will broadcast the concert live at 7:30.Their program includes works by Schubert, Shostakovich and Franck.
Current State’s Peter Whorf met with Suren Bagratuni in his studio last Friday to talk about tonight’s performance. Bagratuni says these are among his favorite pieces, though he never played the Shostakovich Sonata Op. 40 while he was back in Russia.
