Dearborn's Jeff Karoub provided Current State's live music in Studio S today. He's a reporter for the AP in Detroit, and a singer-songwriter.Last fall, Jeff's Coming Home to Music project was awarded a Knight Foundation grant to put on a series of house concerts in Detroit.
Karoub says house concerts happen everywhere, though they don't get a lot of attention. He wants to expose people to the homegrown music of Detroit, or music from elsewhere being played in Detroit.
