Neighbors in Action: Village Summit

www.villagesummit.org/

It’s Wednesday and time for our Neighbors in Action segment, where we feature people and organizations working to make our community a better place. Today we feature Village Summit, a grassroots community center for youth located in Lansing’s Fabulous Acres neighborhood.Amel Island is the board president and Marcus Brown is Village Summit’s co-founder and a teacher in Lansing public schools. Brown says he saw a need for additional services for children.

If you’d like to nominate someone or an organization to be featured on our Neighbors in Action segment, please send an email to Currentstate@wkar.org. Put “Neighbors in Action” in the subject line, or tweet us @KARCurrentState and tell us why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
