Lansing United soccer hopes to build on first-season success

In its first season, the Lansing United soccer team won its conference championship and then moved through a national playoff system, making it all the way to the semifinals before losing.Current State’s Scott Pohl talks with owner Jeremy Sampson about year two of Lansing United. The season opens with a “friendly”, or exhibition, against AFC Ann Arbor on Saturday.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
