Current Sports #478 | May 21, 2015

Current Sports

There is no show on record yet, but it doesn't mean there was no show. Current Sports had a recruiting focus today, with Al telling the story of his journey to Detroit and his encounter with former MSU commit Jayru Campbell. This discussion morphs into a broad discussion of the rights of college athletes and recruits, and the resources that should be made available to athletes in order to help them deal with that new fame.

Then, Isaac recounts Lansing United's unfortunate fall to Louisville City FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the 1-0 loss coming off of an unlucky own goal. The full written report of the match can be found here, with quotes included.

Al and Apachu, a regular caller, then try to pin down the reasons for Caleb Swanigan's commitment to Purdue, and seek to find ways to help players deal with the recruitment process.

Finally, the show closed with a sneak peak of a Current Sports TV interview with Al Manfroni, coach of the new MSU club football team.

This show will be uploaded as soon as possible.
