In playoffs, Pistons stumble and Red Wings rebound

Spartan basketball star Aerial Powers was the fifth player chosen in the WNBA draft last week.

While the Detroit Pistons dropped their first game in the playoffs this weekend, a Spartan basketball star realized one of her big hoop dreams. After losing twice to the Lightning, the Red Wings beat Tampa Bay in their playoff series last night. We talk with Current Sports host Al Martin.

The Detroit Piston lost a thriller to the Cleveland Cavaliers to open their playoff series, while the Red Wings beat the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday but still trail in that series 2-1.

Along with the NBA and NHL playoffs, Michigan State basketballer Aerial Powers just hit the big time.
