Brian Lewerke made his first start as a Spartan against Northwestern, completing 12 of 19 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown before yielding to Tyler O'Connor in the second half.

Current Sports host Al Martin joins us to explain what is going wrong for the MSU football team and the Detroit Lions two-game winning streak.

The Michigan State football team hasn’t loss four straight games dating back to 2006, during the John L. Smith era. That same year, the Spartans also had an 0-4 Big Ten start. Fans of the team are certainly having flashbacks this year, as the Spartans were handed a 54-40 loss by Northwestern at home this past weekend. Many are just hoping to see a bowl game for the team this year.

Current Sports host Al Martin joins us to break down why the Spartans are reeling, as well as talk about the streaking Detroit Lions.

Al Martin is the host of Beyond the Score, a new series coming to WKAR in the fall of 2024. Al is also sports reporter for WKAR news.
