Opera Grand Rapids
Opera Grand Rapids presents 'Romeo and Juliet' Friday and Saturday.

From Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers to Gounod’s star-crossed opera singers, we meet the Romeo and Juliet of the upcoming production of that classic love story by Opera Grand Rapids.

This weekend, the continuing fight between the Montagues and Capulets will be taking over DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids. It’s not the Shakespearean version, though. Instead, Opera Grand Rapids will be staging the French operatic version of "Romeo and Juliet."

Current State’s Jamie Paisley speaks with the singers portraying these two star-crossed lovers.
