David G. Smith is our Live Music Friday guest ahead of a couple of Friday gigs in East Lansing. The Iowa-based singer-guitarist has a new album is called “First Love.”

Our Live Music Friday guest today is David G. Smith, a singer-songwriter out of Iowa who’s in town to play an acoustic lunch set today at the Broad Art Museum and a Pump House Concert tonight. He has a new album called “First Love.”

Smith has worked with or shared the stage with the likes of Justin Townes Earle, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot and Keb’ Mo’.
