Dr. Christopher Heidenreich leads the Washtenaw Community Concert Band dressed as John Philip Sousa

Later this week, the Washtenaw Community Concert Band goes to tinsel town for their next performance. We speak with Dr. Chris Heidenreich about the program, and learn about some of the costume changes he’s had to make in Ann Arbor.

As a professor of music at the University of Michigan in Flint, Dr. Christopher Heidenreich is quite a busy man, but he told Current State’s Jamie Paisley that he also frequently finds himself driving down to Ann Arbor...where he joins yet another group of students.
