Renegade Theatre Festival

Lansing’s Renegade Theatre Festival returns this month, this time for two weekends of drama, musicals, comedy, staged readings and new original works. We talk with organizer Melissa Kaplan.

The Renegade Theatre Festival will be back in Old Town Lansing for its eleventh year soon, and it’s expanded to two weekends. August 11-13 and 18-20 will see a variety of theatrical events in several Old Town locations, and a number of local theatre companies are once again taking part.

We speak with organizer Melissa Kaplan, performing arts producer and academic coordinator of communication, media, and the arts at Lansing Community College.
