Neighbors in Action: Crosswalk Teen Center | WKAR

It’s Wednesday and time for our Neighbors in Action segment, when Current State features people and organizations working to make Greater Lansing a better place. Today, we learn about Crosswalk Teen Center, a new after school and summer program for teens in the Charlotte area.

The Center is working to raise $10,000 for its operating costs with a GoFundMe campaign

Current State speaks with Rick Todd, executive director of Crosswalk, board member John Bailey, and youth participant Austin Blakney.

Current State is looking for more nominations for our “Neighbors In Action” feature. Please help us out and e-mail us your suggestions to currentstate@wkar.org. Put ‘Neighbors in Action’ in the subject line. Or tweet us: @KARCurrentState and tell us a little about why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
