Neighbors in Action: Resolution Services

Resolution Services logo

A dispute between neighbors or a fight between high school students are pretty common. But sometimes those disputes become contentious and can land people in court or end with students suspended or expelled. For this week’s Neighbors in Action segment, we talk with Resolution Services, a non-profit that helps people resolve those conflicts before they get to that point.

Wednesday on Current State means it’s time for Neighbors in Action, when we feature people and organizations working to make Greater Lansing a better place. Today, we learn about the Resolution Services Center. The local non-profit aims to help people resolve conflict without having to involve courts or have students removed from school.

Current State talks with executive director Greta Trice, along with Delores Campbell and her son Zaaron who participated in the Center’s Restorative Justice program at a Lansing area high school.

Current State is looking for more nominations for our “Neighbors In Action” feature. Please help us out and e-mail us your suggestions to currentstate@wkar.org. Put ‘Neighbors in Action’ in the subject line. Or tweet us: @KARCurrentState and tell us a little about why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
