The Listening Ear Crisis Intervention Center provides free and confidential service for telephone and walk-in clients in crisis. For Neighbors in Action, we speak with Recruitment and Orientation Director Ian Jacobs and Media Liaison Director Carly Geraci.

The Listening Ear in East Lansing is the oldest operating all-volunteer crisis hotline in the country. Since 1969, it’s been providing free telephone and walk-in counseling services to clients in crisis.

For this week’s Neighbors in Action we’re joined by two volunteer crisis counselors at The Listening Ear. Ian Jacobs is Recruitment and Orientation Director, and Carly Geraci is Media Liaison Director.
