Michigan Fitness Foundation
JJ Tighe (President and CEO of the Michigan Fitness Foundation) joined Al Martin LIVE in studio to discuss a few big events coming from the organization.

Thoughts on the retirement news of Calvin Johnson and Peyton Manning, JJ Tighe (President and CEO of the Michigan Fitness Foundation), "Tickled Tuesday," and Denzel Valentine wins Big Ten Player of the year.

On today's "Current Sports with Al Martin" we begin the show by tipping a cap to the NFL careers of Calvin Johnson and Peyton Manning. What will the legacy of these two greats be when we look back years from now?

Al then invites JJ Tighe, President and CEO of the Michigan Fitness Foundation, to chat about ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously), an event sweeping the state by storm. Tighe also provides his thoughts on the state of youth fitness today and whether or not he feels it's getting better, or worse.

We close out the show with a few funny moments in the sporting world with "Tickled Tuesday" and a nod to Denzel Valentine, who has been named as the Big Ten Player of the Year and the USA Today National Player of the Year.

WKAR’s first live pledge drive since federal funding was eliminated is happening now. Our goal for the drive is $60,000 and reaching it will bring us one step closer to closing the federal funding gap.
