MSU Football; Expectations; University Of Michigan Football; Seth Newman; Detroit Lions; Weekend Winners.

Through the wind and through the rain, Michigan State football is now 5-1. A new "Current Sports with Al Martin" files the game of the weekend in the books, which now have MSU at 5-1 for the season. After weathering the storm of a 3-9 record last year, what has allowed this team to exceed expectations as they have? Al reviews the game against Minnesota and voices the excitement from both fans and players. Engineer Isaac Constans  gives his new worst case scenario for the program, already a better situation than his preseason prediction. And all the while, the players remain humble. That's the key, according to one caller, while another fights for running back LJ Scott, who again demonstrated a possible fumbling problem. Then, Seth Newman, sideline reporter and host at the Spartan Sports Network, rejoins the show. Newman, who was at the game, explains why expectations have been shattered for the Spartans. Finishing the show, Isaac and Al give their "Weekend Winners" and losers to catch anything that slipped by, and Current Sports production assistant Jon LeBlanc teases his new story.
