Allen Gant

MSU Football; Close of College Football; Rutgers Preview;  Michigan State Men's Basketball; Miles Bridges; Allen Gant; Michigan Football; Rivalry Week.

Just try saying it five time fast. "Rivalry week," five times over, is the crux of this edition of "Current Sports with Al Martin." Far from a rivalry, however, the show begins by peering ahead to the Michigan State matchup for the weekend against Rutgers. While Las Vegas might be wary, there should be no doubt for the game ahead. Al and engineer Isaac Constans have some fun at the expense of the Scarlett Knights. Also, Michigan State men's basketball jumps over to Portland to begin the PK80 tournament. While the Spartans have a lot to gain from the competitive matches ahead, due to a star player's injury, they might have even more to lose. Then, Al brings Allen Gant, former Michigan football player, onto the show. Due to the shortened week, Current Sports is revving its engine already for the Ohio State-Michigan game, and Gant explains the significance to players. Beware though, Spartan fans, the Wolverine's expectation might leave a sour taste in your mouth as you cruise through.
