Al Martin / WKAR

Michigan State University; WKAR's Kevin Lavery; Larry Nassar; Tom Izzo; Mark Dantonio; MSU Rowing Team; MSU Board of Trustees;

It's Monday and focus still remains on the events of the most challenging week in Michigan State University history. On this edition of "Current Sports with Al Martin," Al opens the show with a story from WKAR's Kevin Lavery, detailing the student protest at "The Rock" in support of the Larry Nassar survivors. We also hear a bite from Mark Dantonio's press conference Friday, in which he stated that he always handled reports of sexual assault properly. Commentary on Tom Izzo's press conference after the Spartans' game against Maryland on Sunday, in which he was questioned by ESPN's "Outside the Lines" is also highlighted.

Then, Joe Rexrode, a columnist for The Tennessean and a former MSU beat reporter, joins the show. He discusses covering Larry Nassar and his coverage of MSU gymnast Jordyn Wieber back during the 2012 Summer Olympics.
