Al Martin / WKAR

Michigan State Basketball; Tom Izzo; Miles Bridges; NCAA Basketball Federal Investigation; DeShaun Tate

The federal investigation of corruption in NCAA Basketball continues, and the mother of MSU men's basketball sophomore forward Miles Bridges, Cynthia Bridges, has been named. On this episode of "Current Sports with Al Martin," Al discusses new evidence of illegal payments and benefits in men's college hoops released this morning by Yahoo! Sports. The findings pertain to many current and former college hoops stars, including Philadelphia former No. 1 Pick in the 2017 draft, Markelle Fultz; Josh Jackson of the Kansas Jayhawks; and Toronto Raptors' four-time All-Star guard, Kyle Lowry. Al talks with callers about their perception of Michigan State as news continues to come out about the basketball program, and DeShaun Tate of CBS Radio joins the show. Tate is a college basketball reporter and host for CBS in Atlanta, Ga. He gives his thoughts on the reporting done by Yahoo! Sports, and engineer Ian Hawley closes the show with his thoughts on the scandal from the perspective of an MSU student.
