MSU Athletics / James Edwards

James Edwards III; Detroit Pistons; Stan Van Gundy; NBA Coaching Carousel; Otis Wiley; LeBron James; Cleveland Cavaliers; Saturday Night Live

The NBA coaching craziness continues. On this edition of "Current Sports with Al Martin," Al interviews James Edwards III of The Athletic to discuss the Detroit Pistons firing of Stan Van Gundy and what led to the move. Also, Edwards goes through a list of possible candidates that may replace Van Gundy. Next, Otis Wiley, former MSU football safety, joins the show. The United States Marine Corps and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association have partnered to hold free basketball youth clinics in six major cities around the country. One of clinics is coming to Detroit on June 9th at the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit. Otis talks about his role in that partnership and how he helps to promote diversity and inclusion in sports. Al wraps up the show by playing a bite from an unaired SNL skit poking fun at the Cleveland Cavaliers supporting cast. Fair, or foul?
