Michigan State football junior cornerback Justin Layne announced via Twitter on Friday evening that he will forego his senior season and head to the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Cleveland, Ohio native began his Spartan career as a wide receiver before making the transition to cornerback midway through his first season in 2016. Layne finished his junior season with 72 total tackles (a season-high 10 against Ohio State) and one interception.
