Michigan farmers set 2017 policy agenda

The Michigan Farm Bureau is completing its 2017 policy agenda this week in Grand Rapids.

The Michigan Farm Bureau is busy planning its  priorities for 2017. We talk with the bureau’s policy development chair, Andy Hagenow.

Hundreds of farmers from across the state are ending their annual meeting today in Lansing. The Michigan Farm Bureau is looking ahead to the coming spring planting season and beyond.

There are a number of issues on the table in 2017, ranging from protecting seasonal migrant laborers to recruiting and mentoring the next generation of food producers.

Current State talks with the bureau’s policy development director, Andy Hagenow.
